The National Water Supply and Drainage Board (NWSDB) has announced a temporary water supply limitation in parts of Palanwatta due to prevailing dry weather conditions.

Reduced water levels in feeder reservoirs have affected production at the Labugama and Kalatuwawa water treatment plants, leading to the planned restriction.

Accordingly, water supply in Palanwatta (Zone B) will be limited from 8.00 p.m. on Tuesday (07) until 8.00 a.m. on Wednesday (08).

The affected areas include Palanwatta, Siddamulla, Arawwala, Niwanthidiya, Bokundara Road, Rathmaldeniya, Maharagama–Piliyandala Road, Moraketiya Road, Hiripitiya, Gorakapitiya Road, Niydagala Road up to Dolekade Junction, Kudamaduwa up to the paddy field along the 255 bus route, and Pubudu Mawatha up to the same point.
