Police said 512 individuals were arrested yesterday (02) during a series of islandwide search operations carried out under crime and drug prevention initiatives.

According to Police, 10 individuals were directly identified in connection with criminal activities during the operation.

Police also arrested 222 warrant suspects and 136 individuals with open warrants as part of the operation.

Additionally, 115 individuals were arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol.

A further 110 individuals were arrested for reckless driving, while legal action was taken against 4,498 individuals for other traffic-related offenses. (Newswire)
