Sri Lanka urges diplomatic dialogue in call with Iran FM

Sri Lanka’s Foreign Minister Vijitha Herath has held a discussion with his Iranian counterpart Abbas Araghchi on the rapidly evolving situation in the Middle East.

In a message posted on social media, Herath said the discussion took place on March 4 amid escalating tensions in the region.

He said Sri Lanka conveyed its grave concern over the growing hostilities and reaffirmed the importance of diplomatic dialogue to restore regional peace. (Newswire)
