Court to Consider Ex-Deputy Parliament Secretary’s Petition March 18

The Court of Appeal on Tuesday (3) fixed March 18 to consider a petition filed by former Deputy Secretary General of Parliament Chaminda Kularatne seeking to nullify his suspension.
Kularatne has requested the court to issue a writ order invalidating the decision to suspend him, arguing that it was carried out without a fair investigation.
The petition was taken up before Court of Appeal President Rohantha Abeysuriya and Justice Priyantha Fernando.
After hearing submissions from counsel representing both the petitioner and the respondents, the bench ordered that the petition be taken up on March 18 for confirmation of facts. (NewsWire)
