Security forces in Sri Lanka arrested 458 individuals on July 22 during a series of daily operations targeting drug-related and criminal activities, the Ministry of Public Security said.

The coordinated efforts involved Sri Lanka Police, the Police Special Task Force, and the armed forces. Authorities seized substantial quantities of illegal substances, including 728.25 grams of crystal methamphetamine (commonly known as “ice”), 166.822 grams of heroin, and 583.71 grams of cannabis.

The operations are part of a broader campaign to combat narcotics and associated criminal offenses nationwide. (Newswire)
