4 injured Sri Lankans in Middle East attacks discharged from hospital: Deputy FM

Deputy Foreign Minister Arun Hemachandra says four Sri Lankan nationals who were injured in recent attacks in the Middle East have now been discharged from hospital.
In a statement, Hemachandra said he spoke over the phone with three of the injured Sri Lankans and was reassured to hear that they are safe and recovering well.
He noted that although the contact details of the fourth individual were currently unreachable, authorities have confirmed that the person has also been safely discharged from hospital.
The Deputy Foreign Minister said the safety and well-being of Sri Lankan nationals overseas remains a priority, adding that Sri Lanka’s diplomatic missions in the region are closely monitoring the situation.
Amid the ongoing tensions in the region, Hemachandra also expressed hope for restraint, stability and a peaceful resolution that safeguards civilian lives. (Newswire)
